The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) uncovered a fraud involving 22 million lei at a company in Galați, linked to inflated rental expenses. The investigation revealed that the company had registered fictitious expenses through a lease for an unused plot of land, significantly overvalued compared to market rates. This scheme resulted in a tax loss of over 3.6 million lei for the state. ANAF has forwarded the case to prosecutors for further investigation into potential criminal activities.
