Amplasamentul SMR de la Doicești are 600 MW capacitate de racordare
Nova Power&Gas claims that the site in Doicești for the planned small modular reactor (SMR) plant includes 50 hectares of land that has been ecologically restored after the demolition of a former coal power plant. The site has a connection capacity of approximately 600 MW to the National Energy System. The company incurred costs of nearly 19.5 million euros for project-related works, separate from the 24.34 million euros paid for the site. These costs were not covered by RoPower Nuclear, which is jointly owned by Nuclearelectrica and Nova Power&Gas. Recent reports indicate that the project's estimated cost has risen to 6.5 billion dollars, significantly exceeding initial estimates.
