The price of beer at Munich's Oktoberfest has increased significantly, now five times higher than in 1985, according to economist Andreas Rees. The festival, starting Saturday, is expected to attract millions of visitors. This year's average price for a liter of beer is 15.61 euros, a 2.4% rise from last year, remaining below the national inflation rate. Since 1985, beer prices have surged by 400%, while general consumer prices have only risen by 120%. Rees suggests that the phenomenon of 'beerflation' may have peaked, indicating a potential decrease in demand.
