Amenzi de peste 83 de milioane de lei de la Consiliul Concurenței pentru marii producători de semințe pentru agricultură

The Romanian Competition Council fined 21 companies a total of 83.2 million lei for anti-competitive practices in seed and crop protection markets. Major producers like Pioneer and Corteva were involved in price-fixing agreements with distributors, impacting resale prices to farmers. The council emphasized that while voucher systems are acceptable, they should not lead to fixed prices. Some companies received reduced fines after admitting to violations, while others, like Agricover, gained immunity. The council's decisions are binding and will be enforced by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration.
