Amenzi de 12.000 lei pentru petrecerile la curte

New amendments to Law no. 61/1991 impose strict penalties for disturbing public peace during noisy outdoor parties in Romania. Fines can reach up to 12,000 lei, regardless of whether the event is in urban or rural areas. The changes, highlighted by the Europol Union, remove previous limitations on sanctions, now applying to all loud music gatherings near residences. Organizers face fines between 4,000 and 6,000 lei, which can double for repeat offenses within 72 hours. Authorities may also require community service hours for violators, emphasizing that noise disturbances can be penalized at any time and place.
