The incident occurred on August 8, 2026, when the accused obstructed the ambulance's path using vehicles and subsequently assaulted it with various tools, causing damage and injury. The attack was reportedly fueled by misinformation spread on TikTok about a supposed "black ambulance" involved in child abductions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that no such cases have been recorded in Romania.
