The Romanian Attorney General, Cristina Chiriac, met with U.S. Ambassador Daryl Nirenberg to discuss anti-corruption efforts and organized crime. They emphasized the importance of cooperation in these areas and the role of the Public Ministry in the criminal process. Technical assistance from the U.S. Department of Justice for Romanian prosecutors was also a key topic. Flavian Popa, head of international judicial cooperation, attended the meeting as well.
