Ambasadorul Rusiei s-a enervat, după ce un român i-a spus „Marș la Moscova”: „Avem dreptul să le reamintim: teritoriul României s-a mărit cu o treime!”

On August 21, a young university assistant protested at a Russian memorial event in Iași, leading to a strong response from the Russian ambassador. Sebastian Buduroi, an assistant at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, shouted 'March to Moscow!' during the ceremony attended by Russian Ambassador Vladimir Lipaev. The event commemorated the 82nd anniversary of the popular uprising in Romania, which the ambassador emphasized as crucial for Romania's history. Buduroi criticized the event as politically charged and expressed his intent to rally opposition against pro-Russian sentiments in Romania. Lipaev condemned attempts to downplay the Soviet role in WWII and defended the historical significance of the Soviet contribution to Romania's territorial integrity.
