Ambasadorul Bratislavei: Comunitatea slovacă din România - un "pod viu" între cele două ţări

The Slovak community in Romania serves as a vital link between the two countries, receiving support for cultural, educational, and religious projects, as stated by Slovak Ambassador Peter Hatiar. During a reception in Oradea for Slovakia's Constitution Day, he emphasized the importance of this community and the collaboration with the Slovak government. Annual funding for significant community projects amounts to around 200,000 euros, which includes the establishment of a Slovak-language kindergarten in Oradea. Mayor Florin Birta highlighted the strong ties between the Slovak and Romanian communities. The event also featured the awarding of a medal to honorary consul Miroslav Iabloncsik for his two decades of service. Upcoming cultural events will showcase Slovak traditions and tourism opportunities.
