The school was opened on September 1 but closed four days later. The embassy emphasized its commitment to minority rights and educational access, stating that Ukraine has made significant progress in this area despite security challenges. Romanian authorities are in contact with Ukraine to find a solution for Romanian ethnic children in Orlivka to continue their education in Romanian. Following President Zelensky's visit to Bucharest, guarantees were given regarding the operation of Romanian-language schools in Ukraine.
