Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented alleged evidence of Russian drones to the Russian ambassador, but no concrete links were established. The Russian embassy denied any connection to the drones shot down in Romanian airspace. Romania previously summoned the ambassador over repeated airspace violations and issued a verbal note demanding the expulsion of a Russian diplomat. The Romanian ambassador to Moscow was also recalled for consultations.
