This unprecedented achievement was announced by AWS's interim public sector VP, David Appel, during the Concordia Annual Summit in New York. The accreditation enables NATO and its partners to use AWS services for classified information processing, streamlining compliance and enhancing security standards across member states. AWS's compliance with NATO's technical directive D32 was validated by Spain's National Cryptographic Center, facilitating the use of AWS infrastructure for sensitive operations.
