In Harghita County, 33 farms and local producers will open their doors to tourists on September 25-26 as part of the Open Farm program. Visitors can experience farm life and learn about the journey of food from producer to consumer. Special programs will include tours, daily activity presentations, demonstrations, and tastings. The initiative aims to provide authentic experiences rather than mere tourist attractions, allowing visitors to understand the hard work behind local products. Open Farm is part of preparations for Harghita's title as European Gastronomic Region in 2027, alongside other culinary programs.
