Alina Scafaru, colegă de închisoare cu Elena Udrea, revine în avocatură

Alina Maria Scafaru, a lawyer from Negrești, resumes her professional activity after serving a prison sentence. The Vaslui Bar approved her re-registration as a definitive lawyer starting October 1. Scafaru had suspended her membership following her incarceration in September 2024. After serving about 18 months, she requested to lift the suspension in May 2026. She emphasized that her offenses were unrelated to her legal profession and expressed her desire to prove her capabilities as a lawyer. During her imprisonment, she collaborated with Elena Udrea on prison activities, improving conditions for inmates. Scafaru's legal troubles began in 2015 with a suspended sentence for bribery and later involved a hit-and-run incident in 2018, leading to a definitive sentence of 3 years and 8 months in prison.
