Chinese company Alibaba unveiled its latest AI model, Qwen3.8-Max, featuring 2.4 trillion parameters, making it a significant player in AI development. While it ranks high in text processing, it still trails behind some models from Anthropic. Qwen3.8-Max excels in image analysis, securing a second-place global ranking. The model employs a 'mixture-of-experts' architecture, optimizing resource use by activating only a portion of its parameters. It is set to launch next week on Alibaba Cloud's Model Studio.
