Alianța PSD-AUR, interzisă de la Bruxelles. Analiza Mediafax: De ce social- democrații de la București nu fac un tandem cu suveraniștii

European liberals claim that PSD's reluctance to form a government alliance with AUR is due to political pressure from Brussels. PNL MEP Gheorghe Falcă stated that such an alliance would negatively label PSD in Europe and create internal party issues. He noted that PSD's previous collaboration with AUR led to the fall of a legitimate government, and now they cannot govern together due to European political group constraints. Concerns about access to EU funds were also raised, as MEP Siegfried Mureșan warned that AUR's inclusion could jeopardize Romania's funding eligibility. PNL continues to support Siegfried Mureșan for prime minister, rejecting any government including PSD members, while anticipating possible early elections if no compromise is reached.
