The Drone Alliance between the EU and Ukraine aims to enhance the development and production of advanced drone systems and counter-drone measures. This initiative was launched during a meeting in Brussels, gathering 18 founding members from various sectors. The ongoing conflict has highlighted the need for rapid innovation and production capabilities in drone technology. EU officials stress the importance of creating a robust ecosystem for drone warfare, similar to Ukraine's, to improve design, production, and operational efficiency. Currently, EU industries produce about 1.5 million drones annually, and there is a push to match Russia's production capacity.
