Alfred Simonis announced that the Timișoara City Hall requested additional funding for the Dan Păltinișanu Stadium shortly after a law affected Dominic Fritz's mandate. Despite previous opposition from USR representatives, Simonis emphasized the importance of the stadium for the city. A meeting will be held to allocate an extra 1,020,000 lei to expedite the project, which is already in an advanced stage. The stadium is expected to host its first match by the end of the year, pending necessary approvals.
