Alexandru Toader, son of former Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, was taken from police custody to assist in searches at his notary office related to sexual assault allegations. He faces charges of rape and sexual aggression against students. The searches occurred at both his notary office and his university office. Toader was arrested on October 24, accused of abusing students after becoming a lecturer. The first incident reportedly happened in November 2022, leading to the victim dropping out of university. The university's rector announced that Toader will be banned from teaching regardless of the outcome of his detention.
