The Health Committee of the Chamber of Deputies approved the unblocking of hiring in medical units, allowing for recruitment within budget limits. Former Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete emphasized that this measure applies to both medical and non-medical staff. He criticized the previous government memorandum that restricted hiring, stating that hospitals, especially those with high patient volumes, should not suffer from these restrictions. The amendment will be discussed and approved in the plenary session, addressing the issue of on-call lines as well. Rogobete highlighted the plight of nearly 2,000 medical graduates currently unemployed due to hiring freezes.
