Alexandru Petrescu (ASF): Numărul conturilor active de investiții a crescut de peste nouă ori în șapte ani
The Romanian capital market has significantly expanded its investor base over the past seven years, with active accounts increasing nearly 9.4 times. This growth reflects a shift in how Romanians view saving and investing. The value of assets managed through financial investment service companies has also risen dramatically. Despite a slight decline in active accounts in 2023, the total assets under custody continued to grow, indicating a stronger market capacity. The president of the Financial Supervisory Authority emphasizes the need for sustainable market development and improved financial education to support this growth.
