Alexandru Nazare: Am prezentat toate argumentele pentru ca România să își păstreze ratingul, dar nu exclud riscul unei retrogradări
Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare expressed concerns about Romania's potential downgrade by rating agencies, despite presenting strong arguments for maintaining its rating. He emphasized the importance of Fitch's upcoming evaluation and noted that the Ministry has provided all necessary economic data to the agencies. Nazare acknowledged the ongoing risk of downgrade but stated that technical obligations have been fulfilled. The Ministry's recent discussions with Fitch included detailed analyses of macroeconomic developments and fiscal policies, highlighting the positive effects of fiscal consolidation measures. Fitch had previously reaffirmed Romania's BBB- rating with a negative outlook due to ongoing public finance challenges.
