Alertă pe piața energiei: Oprirea grupului 2 de la Cernavodă lasă România fără 20% din producția electrică
The shutdown of Unit 2 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant is a severe blow to Romania's energy balance, according to energy expert Dumitru Chisăliță. He highlighted that the country is already operating at maximum capacity across all available resources. The simultaneous shutdown of both units will result in a significant energy deficit, especially during peak hours and at night, as hydro and nuclear production is affected by low water levels in the Danube. With rising temperatures forecasted, the situation is expected to worsen, leading to increased reliance on energy imports to meet demand.
