Romania is facing a significant weather change with lower temperatures, rain, and mountain snow expected. The National Meteorological Administration forecasts nighttime temperatures dropping below freezing in some areas, particularly in the Eastern Carpathians. Starting October 13, maximum temperatures will be modest, ranging from 11 to 18 degrees Celsius across the country. Strong winds will exacerbate the cold, especially in the southeast and mountainous regions. Rain and mixed precipitation are anticipated, with warnings issued for various areas. The capital, Bucharest, will experience cooler temperatures and potential rain, with lows around 6-7 degrees. The weather will remain chilly into the weekend, with further drops in temperature and continued precipitation likely.
