Latvian authorities view this as an aggressive provocation and a hybrid threat. The incident occurred at NATO's eastern border, raising alarms among officials. The group had previously attempted to smuggle migrants into Latvia, actively directing them towards the border. Latvia's Interior Minister warned that such incidents could have serious consequences for Belarus.
