Health authorities in Alba Iulia have reported an outbreak of hepatitis A in a social housing block, affecting eight individuals, including children. The outbreak was confirmed after three initial cases were identified, leading to an epidemiological investigation. Seven contacts have been identified for vaccination and self-isolation. The local health director noted challenges in conducting the investigation, but there are no water supply issues in the area. Measures for disinfection and cleaning of the affected spaces will be implemented.
