Alerta energetică, prelungită la Cernavodă. Situația rămâne critică pe Dunăre. Când poate fi pornită centrala

The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant remains shut down due to low Danube water levels, with the state of alert extended for another 30 days. Despite various interventions, including the detonation of the Pârjoaia rock and the sinking of barges, the situation has not improved. Authorities are facing an unprecedented energy crisis, leading to the reopening of coal power plants and calls for energy savings from industrial consumers. The Danube's flow remains critically low, with estimates indicating it is nearly three times below average. The period from October 15 to 22 is crucial, as water levels may reach the necessary threshold for the plant's operation, otherwise new costly energy imports will be required.
