Alertă energetică: marii consumatori sunt convocați
The Ministry of Energy is holding an emergency meeting with major industrial electricity consumers to alleviate pressure on the National Energy System. The aim is to find solutions to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours, especially in the evening. Companies are encouraged to adjust production schedules to off-peak times. This initiative comes amid a national energy alert due to reduced electricity production and limited imports. The severe drought has impacted the operation of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, which supplies about 10% of Romania's electricity. Authorities are urging all power plants to operate at maximum capacity to prevent energy deficits.
