Alerta energetică din România, analizată la Bruxelles
The European Commission is closely monitoring the energy situation in Romania, Hungary, and Southeast Europe due to low water levels affecting energy supply. Romania declared an energy alert on August 1, and the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's Unit 2 will be gradually shut down. Measures are being prepared to compensate for the lost energy and maintain balance in the National Energy System. The Commission emphasizes that while the situation is tense, it remains secure and stable.
