Alertă de West Nile în Grecia: Sunt zeci de cazuri noi, dar și decese. Cele mai afectate zone
Greek health authorities are on high alert due to a rapid increase in West Nile virus infections, with 45 new local cases reported in one week. Attica is the most affected region, with a total of 110 confirmed cases, including severe neurological manifestations. Nine deaths have occurred among patients with neurological symptoms, all over 65 years old. The virus is circulating in 39 municipalities across four regions, and authorities are intensifying surveillance and mosquito control measures. The presence of the virus in horses indicates its wider circulation. EODY emphasizes the need for ongoing protective measures against mosquito bites.
