Alertă de variolă ovină la Buzău: 300 de oi testate

Veterinary authorities have collected samples from a sheep farm in Buzau, near a confirmed outbreak of sheep pox. The farm has over 300 sheep, and results will determine if the virus is present. The owner, Marian Constanda, reported early signs of illness and requested isolation for his animals, but was denied. He expressed that losing the sheep is a significant blow to his family, who have raised sheep for three generations. Constanda also mentioned potential unreported cases in the area and abandoned carcasses, which could spread the virus. Authorities await lab results to decide on declaring a new outbreak.
