Alertă de securitate la Bruxelles. Hackerii, susținuți de guverne străine, au încercat să spargă conturile unor oficiali UE

A cybersecurity unit of the EU warns that high-ranking officials have been targeted by state-sponsored spearphishing attacks aimed at compromising their messaging accounts. This marks the first official acknowledgment of such cyber threats against EU officials, linked to foreign governments. The presentation revealed that officials were targeted through personalized messages designed to deceive them into clicking on suspicious links. Since the beginning of the year, eight significant incidents have been reported, with national security agencies attributing some attacks to Russian groups. The lack of a unified cybersecurity solution among EU institutions complicates the protection of sensitive information.
