The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) warns about fraudulent calls using caller ID spoofing to impersonate the agency. These calls may request personal data, banking information, or money transfers. SRI does not ask for sensitive information over the phone. If you receive such a call, do not provide any information and hang up. To ensure security, hang up immediately and call the number back manually to verify the identity of the caller.
