On Saturday afternoon, residents of Botoșani received a RO-Alert message regarding a drone that crashed in Suceava County. The Ministry of National Defense reported that the drone had crossed Ukrainian and Moldovan airspace before entering Romania. Two F-16 aircraft were deployed to monitor the situation. The drone crashed in a cornfield, causing a minor fire and creating a crater about one meter wide. No casualties were reported. A bomb disposal team was sent to assess the situation. The RO-Alert message advised residents to stay calm and seek shelter, emphasizing safety precautions. This incident follows a recent drone sighting in the same area.
