In Germany, two types of Brie cheese have been recalled due to the detection of Listeria bacteria. The producer Eberle Spezialitäten AG announced the precautionary withdrawal of Brie Torte mit Trüffelfüllung and Brie Torte mit Walnussfüllung, sold between August 24 and September 4, 2026. Consumers are advised not to eat these products, and they can return them for a refund without a receipt. The presence of Listeria poses health risks, especially for vulnerable groups, potentially leading to severe infections. The recall currently applies only to products sold in Germany through REWE supermarkets, with no reports of sales in Romania.
