An air alert was issued in Tulcea after an aerial target was detected near the Romanian-Ukrainian border. Two Spanish F-18 aircraft were deployed for monitoring. The alert was triggered by radar detection during the night of September 28-29. Authorities sent a RO-Alert message to the local population, and the situation was monitored until the alert was lifted shortly after. No unauthorized incursions into national airspace were reported, although incidents have increased due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, with numerous attacks and unauthorized entries recorded recently.
