An air alert was triggered in northern Romania due to an unidentified aerial target near the Ukrainian border, prompting Spanish F-18s to monitor the situation. The alert occurred overnight on September 25-26, with a RO-Alert message sent to residents in Tulcea County. The target was detected near Vâlkove, Ukraine, but no incursions into Romanian airspace were reported. This incident followed another alert just a day earlier, where Romanian F-16s were deployed after a target was identified near Galați. Since the start of the Ukraine war, there have been 145 attacks near Romania's border, with 47 unauthorized incursions reported.
