Alegeri Rusia: 16 secții de votare deschise în Transnistria

On September 20, 16 polling stations opened in the Transnistrian region for the Russian State Duma elections, despite protests from Chișinău. By 11 AM, over 15,000 Russian citizens had voted, primarily in Tiraspol, Tighina, and Rîbnița. Moldova has 17 polling stations, with 16 in Transnistria and one at the Russian Embassy in Chișinău. This decision has been criticized by Moldovan officials as a violation of national sovereignty. Romania's Foreign Ministry also condemned the illegal elections in occupied territories, emphasizing the breach of international law. Russia previously opened polling stations in Transnistria without consent during the 2024 presidential elections.
