The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) leads Morocco's recent legislative elections, securing 97 out of 395 parliamentary seats. The National Rally of Independents (RNI) follows with 66 seats, while the Istiqlal Party has 65. The Justice and Development Party, now in opposition, gained 54 seats, a significant increase from 13 in 2021. Voter turnout was 38.02%, down from 50% in the previous elections, indicating a decline in public trust. The Moroccan king will appoint the prime minister from the party with the most seats, potentially making PAM's Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri the second female prime minister in the Arab region.
