Alba Iulia caută un nou operator de transport public

The Alba Iulia Local Council declared a serious disruption in public transport services and approved an emergency contract for passenger transport. This decision follows the suspension of services since June 17 due to a conflict with the STP operator, which claims over 14 million lei in unpaid debts. The council's resolution allows for the temporary hiring of another authorized operator until the current one resumes operations. The mayor stated this measure will last until January 7, 2027, or until STP restarts its services. The financial dispute has led to legal actions, including a court-ordered enforcement against the municipality for unpaid invoices.
