Alarma fraudelor digitale în UE: 75% dintre angajați au întâlnit mesaje suspecte, iar deepfake-urile îi pun în dificultate

A recent Eurobarometer survey reveals that three out of four EU employees have encountered suspicious messages at work, with phishing being the most common threat. The rise of AI complicates the identification of online fraud, as only 48% of respondents feel capable of recognizing AI-generated deepfakes. Despite awareness of cyber threats, many employees do not take necessary precautions, such as verifying the identity of message senders. The Greek Data Protection Authority emphasizes the need for organizations to enhance data security and train employees to better recognize and respond to cyber threats. Authorities recommend updating incident response plans and regular training for staff.
