The Bistrița Emergency Clinical Hospital is set to operationalize its second Da Vinci surgical robot, with the first surgery scheduled for Friday. The new Da Vinci 5 robot, costing around 27 million lei, was funded mostly by the Ministry of Health. The hospital's leadership highlighted the significance of this advancement in robotic surgery, which has already seen nearly 250 patients treated in the past two years. The first operation will focus on a patient with advanced prostate cancer.
