Al 12-lea zbor umanitar din Gaza: 20 de persoane evacuate

On August 31, 2026, Romania conducted a medical evacuation operation from Gaza, evacuating five vulnerable pediatric patients and their families. This was the twelfth humanitarian transport organized by Romania, reflecting its commitments made during the Washington Peace Council. The operation was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with support from various national and international bodies, including the U.S. Embassy. A medical team from SMURD monitored the patients during the flight. Upon arrival in Bucharest, two patients will receive specialized treatment in Romania, while three will be transferred to Belgium. Romania reaffirms its commitment to support civilians affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
