Romanian citizens are increasingly investing in solar energy due to the lack of state funding for photovoltaic panels. The Casa Verde program has not allocated funds for solar panels for two consecutive years, leaving individuals to cover costs themselves. Although the government plans to support energy storage batteries, the official program has yet to launch, causing delays. Currently, individuals can receive a subsidy for battery installation, but they must contribute at least 25% of the total cost. The number of prosumers is rising, with nearly 400,000 seeking to reduce their electricity bills, while electricity prices have surged by almost 70% since the lifting of price caps.
