Kiev is set to receive nearly 3 billion euros following the EU Council's approval of the eighth payment under the EU Mechanism for Ukraine. This payment reflects Ukraine's successful completion of ten target milestones, with 84 out of 95 milestones achieved so far. The funding aims to enhance Ukraine's macro-financial stability and support its reform efforts. Additionally, Norway has contributed 1 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately 92 million euros) as non-repayable support. The EU Mechanism for Ukraine, effective from March 1, 2024, includes over 50 billion euros in grants and loans for Ukraine's recovery and modernization until 2027.
