The Romanian Chamber of Deputies approved new state aid schemes for cattle and pig farmers to mitigate economic impacts from the Middle East crisis. The financial support, amounting to over 54 million euros for cattle and 11.5 million euros for pigs, aims to offset increased production costs until December 2026. Farmers can receive up to 50,000 euros, with applications submitted through local APIA offices. Additionally, measures to control African swine fever were also approved, including stricter border controls and incentives for wildlife managers.
