The Romanian government has approved aid schemes for pig and cattle farmers affected by rising costs due to the Middle East crisis, with support up to €50,000 per beneficiary. The budget for cattle is €54.4 million, while for pigs it is €11.54 million. Farmers must meet specific conditions to qualify, including maintaining a minimum number of animals and having authorized farms. Applications will be managed by the APIA, and payments must be completed by December 31, 2026, pending European Commission approval.
