Airbus pregătește aripi pliabile pentru noile sale avioane

Airbus plans to test foldable wings on the A321neo to enhance fuel efficiency while maintaining airport compatibility. The tests will begin in the second half of next year as part of the 'Wing of Tomorrow' program. These wings aim to reduce emissions but pose challenges for existing airport infrastructure. The technology, already used by Boeing, has not been applied to single-aisle aircraft like the A320 family. Airbus aims to finalize the new aircraft design by 2030, incorporating advanced engines and innovative wing shapes.
