Aici turiștii vin cu milioanele: numărul lor îl depășește cu mult pe cel al localnicilor
In Europe, certain regions see tourists outnumbering locals significantly, with the South Aegean in Greece leading the list. Eurostat data reveals that this region, including the Cyclades and Dodecanese, recorded about 127 tourist nights per resident. The Ionian Islands follow with 103 nights per resident, while South Tyrol in Italy ranks third with nearly 69 nights. Croatia's Adriatic coast and the Balearic Islands also feature prominently, with 67 and 60 nights per resident, respectively. Conversely, Mayotte, a French overseas territory, has the lowest tourist presence, with only half a night per resident.
