Four individuals are under investigation in Bucharest for committing fraud using the 'fake accident' method. They deceived drivers into believing they had caused accidents that damaged a supposed victim's phone, demanding money for repairs. Three suspects were apprehended, one attempting to flee the country. Police received reports from victims who were approached by the suspects, who falsely claimed to have been involved in accidents. The victims were coerced into paying large sums for non-existent damages. Following investigations, police identified the suspects and conducted searches, recovering cash and mobile phones. The suspects were detained for 24 hours and are facing charges of fraud.
